You've reached the bulletin board of reading reviews...see what some of your favorite "peeps" recommend for your summer reading....
I love the Twilght Series by Stepahie Myers. There are also so many great new books for young people in the Library. It is hard for me to pick a favorite. For example, The Missing Girl, Back To Normal, Octavius Nothing, and the Sharon Draper Series are all very good choices. The Bluford Series are also very good reads. They keep you very involved in the lives of teens you can relate to.

The Twilight Book is a love story with many interesting characters and conflicts. It keeps you on the edge of your seat from page one. I have read the next three books because I have enjoyed the story so much. It is set in a high school and discusses real issues with teens and you feel a real connection to the students in the story. Bella and Edward start a relationship and he is a vampire. I love the writer's style and the movement of characters and events. Give it a try...

I love reading Martha Stewart-Living...it has great recipes and gardening ideas.
The Shack is about a man who lost his daughter and how he comes to terms with his religious beliefs.(haven't finished it yet...almost done!)
I love seeing the names of our students in the newspaper every Thursday in the High School Report, -Crossroads section.
Books: Twighlight Series by Stephanie Myers, Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult, The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch, Love You Forever by Robert Munsch (favorite children's book)
Magazines:
Rolling Stone Magazine,O Magazine (Oprah Winfrey's), People Magazine, Fortune Magazine, Runner's World Magazine
Online reading: Delawareonline, New York Times online and abcnews.go.com are just a few of my favorites.
I read all four of the Twighlight Series by Stephanie Myers...they were easy to read, didn't require a lot of concentration, and were very enjoyable....loved the way Stephanie Myers describes her characters. The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch, what a fabulous little keepsake...I gave each one of my children a copy for christmas and wrote some endearing words on the inside cover so that they could keep it forever. He had so many cool and thoughtful things to say in his lifetime!
Rolling Stone Magazine has a lot of really good political articles...I especially enjoyed the March issue and the article called "The Big Takeover" by Matt Taibbi on the global economic crisis....a very long and involved article...took much concentration however, I really enjoyed it! I could read Runner's World articles over and over because they are always thinking of new ways to help with all of my running boo-boos and problems.
Online reading...I have a ton of sites that I love to read online, I have links to them on my blogspot page...the url is http://mariapanico-ud7361.blogspot.com
I also have them saved on my Delicious account which I would be willing to share...I love to read on-line, there is such a wealth of information out there and so easy, right at your fingertips!!!!!!!
The Pelican Brief

Exciting story about murder, law and the Supreme Court. It keeps you hooked from the very beginning. This would be a great summer reading book.
